The Franchising Process

Because franchising is a regulated industry, there is a formal process that typically includes six to eight steps from initial interest to the awarding of the franchise. Step 4: Validation

You will also have the chance to validate the opportunity by speaking with current franchisees, attending chapter meetings, or visiting existing locations to see the business in action and ask candid questions.

Step 5: Meet the Team

Toward the final stages, you will participate in a “Meet the Team” day, where you’ll connect with the franchisor’s leadership and support staff—those who will help guide you through startup and beyond. At this point, you’ll also review the development schedule and startup costs, looking beyond the initial franchise fee to understand what it takes to launch successfully. The franchisor will want to understand what success looks like for you, and whether their systems can support your goals.

Step 6: Agreement & Launch

If everything aligns and both sides feel confident, the franchise is awarded—and your journey as a franchisee officially begins! The franchising process is designed to create clarity, build trust, and ensure a strong foundation for success.
